Get To Know Your Storytellers

OUR TEAM

We're more than just planners. We're storytellers, helping you turn the pages of your story into a beautiful event that you and your guests will remember for a lifetime.

Hi! I’m Erin

Event planning is like a puzzle. Each element—venue, decor, catering, entertainment, and the client's vision—is a unique piece. The magic happens when I step back and see all those puzzle pieces put together for a beautiful event that tells the client's story.

My Favorite Part Of The Story

As a home-grown Alaskan girl, my roots run deep in this state.

As my family can attest, I've always been an event planner at heart. From meticulously organizing family vacations to throwing unforgettable birthday parties for my children, I believe that every occasion is worth celebrating in style. My laptop is filled with spreadsheets that map out every detail of each event—a testament to my obsession with organization.

At Your Story, I bring that same level of detail and dedication, tailoring every event to meet our client's unique needs and desires. My goal when I started this business in 2010 was (and still is today) to listen to each client’s story and help them continue writing their next chapter.

At the core of everything I do is my family. As a mom and wife, I'm all about those precious family moments filled with love, laughter, and the delightful chaos that comes with raising a family. When I’m not planning special events, my days are spent with my kids, going snowmobile racing and traveling for competitive cheerleading.

Hello! I’m Ashley

The first dance. There's something magical about that moment, seeing two people lost in their love, oblivious to the world around them.

My Favorite Part Of The Story

Born and raised in Fairbanks, I've always had a love for celebrations, big or small.

With over a year of experience under my belt at Your Story, I've been lucky enough to work with Erin on numerous events for our children's school. I must admit, my first foray into event planning was my own wedding back in 2009. That's when I realized how much joy it brings me to tell a couple's love story through their wedding day.

I’m a planner through and through, so it’s also fun planning my kids' themed birthday parties! Brayden and Brooklyn are my biggest fans and toughest critics.

When I'm not planning your special day, you'll find me crafting or buried in a good book during the long Alaskan winters. Come summer, I switch gears to tending my garden. And on those rare non-wedding weekends, I treasure spending time with my family, often escaping to somewhere warm during the cold winter months.

Hey! I’m Lexi

When it comes to weddings, my favorite moment has to be the vows. There's something incredibly touching about two people expressing their love and commitment to each other.

My Favorite Part Of The Story

an East Coaster who found a home and a passion for planning in Fairbanks.

I first dipped my toes into the world of weddings back in 2015 when a friend needed help with their big day (and one that Erin happened to be coordinating). From that moment on, I was hooked. The thrill of helping someone bring their dream day to life was simply irresistible. I’ve been a part of Your Story for almost a decade, and let me tell you, it’s not just a job, it’s a joy!

In my personal life, I’m blessed with a loving husband, Coby, two adorable daughters, Raegan and Emma, and we're eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first son! On non-wedding weekends, you'll find me immersed in a good book, crafting with my girls, or experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, especially desserts. Life is short, eat dessert first!

Hi! I’m Kassie

Nothing brings me greater joy than the grand reveal of the reception space to my couple. The moment their faces light up after  the months of planning and hours of arranging all the little details is truly priceless.

My Favorite Part Of The Story

a creative soul with a deep love for design and attention to detail.

Growing up surrounded by the natural beauty of Fairbanks, even as a kid, I was inspired to make things beautiful. That passion led to a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from UAF, but what really solidified my wedding planning career was my own sister’s wedding.

When I was asked to be her maid of honor, my sister was starting to plan her wedding while being out of the country. I happily took the responsibility of my title and helped as much as I could, and discovered a newfound joy in managing intricate details. Afterwards, I planned more small weddings for friends and family, eventually leading me to join Your Story Events in 2018. I’ve called this team family ever since!

When I'm not planning weddings, you can find me searching for beauty in all its forms— meaningful conversations over coffee, dancing to music that moves me, or exploring outside.

Erin was fantastic to work with. She was extremely professional, organized, dedicated and committed. I had worked on this event in the past and this was Erin's first year. You would have thought it was the other way around. She always prepared, and anticipated every need of the committee. She made all of our jobs very easy. I can't imagine the event having gone any smoother. Erin made the evening go off without a hitch. I can't express my support for Erin enough. If you are planning an event, do yourself and your attendees a favor, hire Erin Chalstrom and let her work her magic!

I had the honor of working with Erin Chalstrom for the Taste Art Fundraiser for Fairbanks Counseling and Adoption.

We weren’t sure how we were going to pull it off until we found Your Story Event Planning. Erin took our vague request of a “classically elegant” wedding and turned it into a fantastic evening.

We were living in New York when we decided on an Alaska wedding.

It’s not just another day. It’s a part of your story.

We want each and every client of ours to trust and know that their precious vision will be executed as if their event were our own.
